James R. Nunley, DO
Dr. James Nunley is a doctor of osteopathy, Board Certified in Anesthesiology and in Pain Management. He studied at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, MO and completed his Residency at the Garden City Osteopathic Hospital in Garden City, MI. He has been serving patients in Middle Tennessee at area surgery centers, hospitals, and our pain center since 1981.
Marshall S. Millman, MD
Dr. Marshall Millman is a doctor of medicine, Board Certified in Anesthesiology and in Pain Medicine. He completed his Fellowship Training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He studied Inorganic Chemistry, holds a PhD in Physiology, as well as his Medical Doctorate. Dr. Millman has been serving our community since 1997.

He studied at the University of Tennessee, completing his Fellowship training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Harmuth has served in the Middle Tennessee community since 1987, joining our pain center in 2005,
William J.L. Newton, DO MS
Dr. William Newton is a Doctor of Osteopathy, Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and also in Pain Medicine. He studied at Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, completing his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center where he served a Chief Resident. He was honorably discharged from the Army Medical Corp at the rank of Major and was awarded the Army Comendation and Meritorious Service Medals. He was the Assistant Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Eisenhower Army Medical Center prior to leaving the Army. He currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Vanderbilt Medical School and teaches their Anatomy section. Dr. Newton is thought leader in the filed of Spinal Cord Stimulation and has be the first in the world to implant and use several new neuromodulation devices. He has a passion for providing the lates ground breaking technologies to help manage pain and reduce the need for opioids. As a Physiatrist, Dr. Newton is dedicated to helping patients regain function and quality of life. Every patient is unique and he takes a compreshensive approach to developing the best pain management program. Dr. Newton resides in Christiana, TN with his wife and two girls. His spare time revolves around his family and supporting his daughters' passion for equestrian competition.
Nicole T. Recinos, PA-C
Nicole is a Physician’s Assistant from Portland, TN. She has a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Kettering College of Medical Arts in Dayton, Ohio and is licensed through the State of Tennessee.
Nicole partners with each of our physicians, working closely with them as a team in the development and coordination of individualized care and treatment for each patient. James W. George, MD
Dr. George is a medical doctor, graduated from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He has been serving our state for over 30 years in anesthesia. As the former owner of Highland Rim Anesthesia in Tullahoma, TN, he provided anesthesia as well as pain management here in our community for many years. He is board certified in anesthesia and a highly skilled physician, well-loved by his patients as he treats their chronic care needs.
Marshall R. La Plata, DO
Dr. Marshall La Plata is a doctor of osteopathy, Board Certified in Anesthesiology. He completed his Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia, and has been serving our community providing anesthesia since 1997. Dr. La Plata also served our country as Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserves.
Clifford M. Myles, MD
Dr. Myles is a medical doctor Board Certified in Anesthesiology. He graduated valedictorian from his high school, cum laude from the University of Nebraska, and studied medicine at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He has been providing anesthesia in the Middle Tennessee region for over 12 years. Dr. Myles also served as Medical Clinic Director for our U.S. Army holding a Meritorious Service Medal, a Combat Medical Badge, and a Bronze Star.
