James R. Nunley, DO
Dr. James Nunley is a doctor of osteopathy, Board Certified in Anesthesiology and in Pain Management. He studied at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, MO and completed his Residency at the Garden City Osteopathic Hospital in Garden City, MI. He has been serving patients in Middle Tennessee at area surgery centers, hospitals, and our pain center since 1981.
Marshall S. Millman, MD PhD
Dr. Marshall Millman is a doctor of medicine, Board Certified in Anesthesiology and in Pain Medicine. He completed his Fellowship Training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He studied Inorganic Chemistry, holds a PhD in Physiology, as well as his Medical Doctorate. Dr. Millman has been serving our community since 1997.
C. Robert Harmuth, MD
Dr. Bob Harmuth is a doctor of medicine, Board Certified in Pain Management, Physical Medicine, as well as in Addiction Medicine. He studied at the University of Tennessee, completing his Fellowship training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Harmuth has served in the Middle Tennessee community since 1987, joining our pain center in 2005,
William J.L. Newton, DO MS
Dr. William Newton is a Doctor of Osteopathy, Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and also in Pain Medicine. He studied at Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, completing his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center where he served a Chief Resident. He was honorably discharged from the Army Medical Corp at the rank of Major and was awarded the Army Comendation and Meritorious Service Medals. He was the Assistant Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Eisenhower Army Medical Center prior to leaving the Army. He currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Vanderbilt Medical School and teaches their Anatomy section. Dr. Newton is a thought leader in the field of Spinal Cord Stimulation and is the first in the world to implant and use several new neuromodulation devices. He has a passion for his patients, providing the latest ground breaking technologies to help manage pain and reduce the need for opioids. As a Physiatrist, Dr. Newton is dedicated to helping patients regain function and quality of life. Every patient is unique, and he takes a comprehensive approach to developing the best pain management program. Dr. Newton resides in Christiana, TN with his wife and two girls. His spare time revolves around his family and supporting his daughters' passion for equestrian competition.
Nicole T. Recinos, PA-C
Nicole is a Physician’s Assistant from Portland, TN. She has a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Kettering College of Medical Arts in Dayton, Ohio and is licensed through the State of Tennessee. Nicole partners with each of our physicians, working closely with them as a part of our treatment team in the development and coordination of individualized care for each patient. When you receive care from Nicole, know that she and your physician are communicating every aspect of your healthcare needs as she assists them in carrying out your individualized treatment.
Scott D. Fowler, PA-C
Scott is a Physician's Assistant with his Masters of Physician's Assistant from the University of Alabama. Prior to joining us Scott worked in Pain Management and Orthopedics as a surgical Physician Assistant. Scott brings a strong skill set to our practice providing ultrasound and fluoroscopic guided injections for large and small joint problems, chronic daily migraine headache, spasticity, dystonia and blephrospasm with Botox. Scott specializes in non-surgical orthopedic injuries and chronic spine and joint disorders. He is considered a thought leader amongst his peers and serves on several advisory boards.
